Julia Vehns is working on her master thesis as a research intern at CARRS-Q. Her work focuses on an autonomous driving simulator using real world videos to explore human factors/ behaviour in automated cars. Her tasks include filming of on road videos as well as the postproduction of the videos to present them in the Advanced Driving Simulator in a immersive way. Furthermore, she is exploring Human Factors in level 2 and level 3 automated cars with the help of the created autonomous driving simulator. The project is in cooperation with the industry partner seeingmachines.
Julia’s background is in Human-Machine Interaction and Computer Science. Before she joined CARRS-Q, Julia gathered work experience in the field of software development as a working student at the open ideas GmbH.
